Certification & Awards

SemperGreenwall
quality and sustainability

Quality and sustainability are part of Sempergreen’s core values, which has led to several SemperGreenwall systems to receive various certifications and awards.

Cradle to Cradle certified

Cradle to Cradle (C2C) is a design philosophy in which materials are not thrown away but are endlessly reused or become ‘food’ for new products. Sempergreen has achieved Bronze-level Cradle to Cradle certification with the following green wall systems:

Cradle to Cradle certification is in line with Sempergreen’s mission to contribute to the creation of a green and livable world, while minimising its ecological footprint. The certification demonstrates the added value of a SemperGreenwall for circular and healthy buildings. Your project can earn LEED or BREEAM points by using C2C-certified products, and it allows you to respond to a growing market demand for sustainable projects.

Fire safety certificate

A green facade naturally contributes to fire resistance, as plants contain a high level of moisture. Sempergreen’s green facade systems have been tested in accordance with the European fire classification standard (EN 13501-1) and hold two certifications: A2-s2,d0 (the highest rating) for the Flexipanel construction component and B-s2,d0 for the complete system including vegetation.

Our complete green wall system, including plants, is certified B-s2,d0 and suitable for use in a wide range of buildings, including schools, hospitals, shopping centres, hotels, restaurants and even escape routes.

The A2 classification applies to the non-combustible materials used in the panel itself . This makes the panel suitable for use in projects with very strict fire safety requirements, when used as part of a broader fire safety strategy.

Interior Plant Display of the Year 2018

Sempergreen won the national “Interior Plant Display of the Year 2018” competition with the green lobby for the Hyatt Regency Spinoza Hotel in Amsterdam. As one of four nominated projects, Sempergreen was selected as the winner by a professional jury from industry association VHG on Thursday, 25 January 2018. The award ceremony took place during the Facility and Building Management Trade Fair at Jaarbeurs Utrecht.
